Our story

Place your bets.

Before becoming a wine grower, Alain Drivon was a croupier, then a casino manager. When he planted his vines in the sands of the Petite Camargue in the 1990s, the phrase that had set the rhythm of his life became the name of the estate: the Mas des Jeux, the “house of games”.

A father, a daughter, a terroir

Two generations, one shared passion

  1. 1
    The 1990s

    Alain’s gamble

A former croupier and casino manager, Alain Drivon changed tables: he settled in Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze, in the heart of the Petite Camargue, and took a gamble on vines planted in sand. “Faites vos jeux”, place your bets, never left him: it is the name he gave his estate.

  2. 2
    The terroir

    Sand, salt and wind

Over 90% sea sand, no clay or silt, and the influence of the Mediterranean: a terroir like no other. The estate chose organic farming and respect for this exceptional landscape. Merlot, Grenache, Viognier and Carignan take on a bright, saline character here.

  3. 3
    Passing it on

    Laura takes up the torch

Just as passionate about this world, Laura, Alain’s daughter, took over the family estate. She has taken the Mas wines far beyond the estate: three shops in Aigues-Mortes and Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the markets, the cottages among the vines and a fine food shop stocked by neighbouring producers.

  4. 4
    Today

Three wines, one of each colour

A gris, a white and a red, all organic, dressed in flamingo, bull or horse labels. The 2023 Cuvée Prestige scored 88/100 in the Gault&Millau guide.

Organic wines from the sands

A terroir made of sea sand

Wine growers for two generations, we farm the terroir of the Sables de Camargue wines: over 90% raw mineral sand, brought in by the sea and the wind, with no clay or silt.

With this singular terroir, we make quality wine, exclusively organic, with respect for nature. The climate, between Mediterranean influences and the nearby hills, gives our wines a distinctive maritime expression: that is the originality of their character.
