Canard des Rizières rice: when ducks weed organic rice paddies
An ancient Asian method, practised for the first time in Europe near Saint-Gilles: ducks weed the organic rice paddies.

The Camargue is the great rice-growing region of France. In our shops, we offer a wide range of IGP Camargue rice, and an exclusive we are proud of: Canard des Rizières rice.
Ducks instead of weedkillers
In the heart of the Saint-Gilles marshes, ducks are released into organic rice paddies. They eat the weeds and insects and naturally fertilise the water. This ancient Asian method is practised here for the first time in Europe.
A very original taste
The result: an organic rice with a distinctive taste, which has made this producer’s reputation. Cook it simply, Creole-style, to enjoy all its flavour.
